Bring an old article in the "recent articles" column

  Hi – I have an article on my blog that talks about a time of the year that will be coming up soon again. In the mean time I have published other articles of course. Is there a way to move it to the recent articles column? Or another way to make it more easily visibe again other than putting it on the homepage where the blog opens? I prefer to have some genera greeting and info there …

  You could use a text widget in a sidebar to make note of the older post:
  perhaps an image and text with a link to the article.
