Bring back the contrast
-
Hi,
Please provide at least the option of having black text in our editing window. The washed out gray greatly reduces contrast, which of course is essential for clearly seeing the words and letters!
I cannot fathom the logic of reducing readability by fashionably graying out the text.
Thanks,
Ken

I just came over to make the same sort of plea, and I’m glad to find that I’m not alone.
There are places in the new format which are completely unreadable, particularly where light gray text is on white. The light blue isn’t much better. I can, of course, enlarge text, but when low contrast is the problem, that doesn’t help.
While I understand that there are fashions in web design, I think it’s important for you to realize that not everyone using your site is 30 years old. I happen to be sixty-eight, and I have vision problems — specifically, early cataracts and early glaucoma.
There are many of us, and most of the people I read have been considerate enough to make their sites readable. I think it’s a shame that the WordPress pages are such a trial, and really would suggest you think about making some changes.
