Bring WebP Images on WordPress.com Sites

  WordPress sites doesn’t supports WebP Image Format yet.

  Google now says its best to use WebP instead of PNG or JPG Formats

  I tried uploading one it says:

  “tricks-by-stg-Logo.webp” has failed to upload.
  Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.

  Hi @trickbystg003, we automatically convert uploaded images and display webp whenever the browser supports it.

  We don’t have you upload webp, though, because you’ll still want images to work in browsers that don’t support it.
