Bringing back a blog

    Hi, I know this sounds stupid, but I needed to get rid of my blog so deleted it; I haven’t clicked the confirm link in the email I got, so does this mean I can bring it back still?
    Also, if I can bring it back, could I make it completely private – guests only even on the home page?

    The blog is not actually deleted until you click on the verification link in the email. Do not click on the link. Instead go into the blog and make it “private”.
    -> Options -> Privacy
    These are the choices you will see:
    Privacy Options
    Blog visibility:
    ____I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Sphere, and in public listings around WordPress.com.
    ____I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors
    ____I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose
    Make your choice and click “Update Options” to save it.

    Private blogs do not have rss feeds. The posts you make after changing the blog setting to private will not appear in the global wordpress.com tag pages and hopefully not on Google unless one of your readers links to them.

    Most of all, do be aware that “privacy” is not retroactive. Your previous posts and all the links to them will still be in the Google cache and elsewhere for many months.
