Bringing Back Deleted Blogs
-
I accidentally deleted a blog of mine; I’d like to go back to using the same title, but if I try to register a new blog using the same info it says someone has already used it. Typing the address in the bar brings me to a page that says “this user deleted the blog”. Help?

WordPress.com does not recycle blog names. During the delete blog process, there are clear warnings that this is permanent and cannot be undone – even in the confirmation email.

For WordPress.COM blogs:
From support documents:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/If you delete a blog you will not be able to get it back and no one else will be able to use that blog name. You must be sure you never want to use the blog again if you delete it. If you are unsure, you can change the blog to private and no one will be able to read it. If you decide to use it later, you can switch it back to a public blog.
