Broken animated GIF does not view properly

  Animated GIF looks fine on the edit page but won’t open on the home page. It used to load properly.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello, which blog are you having trouble with? I visited the blog listed in your post, but only saw the sample post from 2012 and nothing more.

  Ah, thanks. It looks like you can only insert and use an animated GIF at its full size.

  You can fix this by removing and then reinserting the image using Add Media > Insert From URL option and not altering the size. Or if you’re comfortable editing the code, you can edit the page, select Text view, find the image code and remove: width=”518″ height=”518″ (or whatever those values are).

  Neither solution worked. I deleted the image, made sure the size was accurate, re-loaded through the media uploader, updated page and the still wouldn’t load correctly. (However it still works fine on the Edit page. So l checked the code, made sure everything “jibed,” then reloaded. Same result. So I re-saved the animated gif as a “smaller ‘triptik’ jpg and re-loaded. The home page now at least has an image again, but the solution is inelegant and it’s hard to see the detail of the artist’s work.

  Does WordPress no longer have an actual help desk? I appreciate all you’ve tried to do but I pay a fair amount to WP. I can’t believe they make it so hard to get company supported help…

  That’s odd because I installed the same theme on a test blog and was able to load the GIF. I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you.

  I’ve contacted WP support. They say they’ll respond within 2 weeks. Amazing. How do you offer a paid product and then not support it? I’m disappointed (with WP).
