Broken Gravatar image on each blog post
-
On each of my blog posts, below the title and above the author name (me), there’s a broken image icon, in other words where – I think – the Gravatar image should be. It never used to be a broken image icon. Only happened in the last six months or so.
If I hover over the icon, it shows my Gravatar image, overlaid on the broken image icon.
I have a Gravatar image uploaded, so not sure what the problem is.
Appreciate any help.

This now seems to be working, after playing around with it a little since writing my post, above.

Hi there!
Glad to hear that it’s working now. I visited your site and I can see the gravatar images showing up as well.
Note that your current gravatar image is a white image with nothing in it, so it may be a bit hard for anyone to see/notice that it’s there.

Thanks for your reply, aisajib.
After it stared showing up, I decided to change it to the white image, as I didn’t really want to use Gravatar at all, but couldn’t initially get rid of the broken image icon.
Thanks again.

Glad you’ve got it! The correct Gravatar image was showing but only on hover? If you want to share what you did, that’d be great.
Note too, Gravatar (being a heavily utilized free service) does use some image caching, so it’s possible the one image just hadn’t cleared out yet. Usually it wouldn’t show a _broken_ image though, so that’s odd.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not quite sure how I got rid of the broken image.
I logged into Gravatar, chose one of my images, and that successfully displayed as the Gravatar image on the posts.
I then changed it to the white image I have now.
So uploading the image seemed to jolt it back into life and got rid of the broken image holder/icon.
Hope that makes sense.
