broken images on some cell phones

Hi,
I’ve been notified by people viewing my site that they can’t see my images. They tell me they appear broken. I’ve checked the site on 3 separate computers and 2 cell phones. It works consistently for all my computers and one of the cell phones. For another cell phone, the images consistently won’t show up. My husband works a bit with computers and said it has to do with how the WP program links to external photos (IMGUR is what I use) and that maybe the coding for that link doesn’t work with certain platforms. *shrug* I personally don’t really know what all that means but I’d like to get my pictures to show up for everyone. Please help.

If you go to my website I’ve been told that ALL of them show as broken for some platforms. I’ve only been told that this happens with some cell phones. So far, no one has told me the images look broken from a regular computer. It seems they either ALL work or all don’t work depending on what machine you try to view the site from.
The weird thing is that it isn’t even phone model/make specific. My husband and I have the same phone Samsung Galaxy 3. My site always works for my phone and never works for his phone. I’ve recently had people that follow my blog tell me that they cant’ see any of the images on their phone either.

I cannot replicate this issue, as the images load fine on my phone.
they do load slowly, however, both on the phone and on my computer. Is there a reason that you are using Imgur rather than WordPress.com’s media library? I suspect that is the crux of the issue, the hotlinking from Imgur.

I had a feeling it might have something to do with the hotlinking code. Oh well. Does anyone know if there is a way to let the WP peeps know about this so that they can fix it.
I the mean time I guess I’ll switch to using the media library. I had some reasons for using Imgur but if my photos aren’t showing up for some people because of it then it is time for a change.

I’ll look into it some more. But without being able to replicate, it’s hard to track down the bug.
My guess is that the Imgur images are loading so slowly that the phones eventually give up. While desktop browsers keep trying and the images eventually load.

Thank you rootjosh. I appreciate it. I remember now why I don’t use WP media library. My blogs tend to be very image heavy and my images are high quality. I would fill up my library very quickly so I have to use an outside host. I don’t make any money on my blog, since it is just for fun and paying for a business account would not be the best choice for me.
