Broken Photos in earlier blog posts

Hi there, I went back and looked at my blog posts from July this year and the images are breaking one by one as time goes on. Is there any way to restore them, or is there a proper reason why they’re breaking? Do I have to purchase the domain name to keep them uploaded? Thanks.

Did you try adding those images again? From what it looks like to me, is that the images are not on your site, do you think there is a possibility that these images may have got deleted?
Generally, WordPress.com does not remove images. You also don’t need an upgrade unless you have run out of space.

Hey guys!
The photos are disappearing here and there, but this post was the most affected by it. I pasted them in via the wordpress app with no trouble but now they’ve got broken image thumbnails. :(

Thanks for the links, they were a great help. The broken images you are referring were not uploaded to your Media Library on WordPress.com. You copied the file URLs of images hosted on other sites and pasted them into your posts. These images have since been removed by the owner and no longer exist, which is why there are broken images on your blog.
If you have permission to use the images, it would be better to upload them to your Media Library instead. That way, they would only stop working the images were deleted from there.
