Broken Site

  So for the past few weeks I have not been able to upload images onto my site, I was getting HTTP errors and failed to write to disk errors so I’ve tried changing the file permissions through cPanel and now everything that is not a text file is broken including any theme I try to activate. This is a crucial university project so any and all help is greatly appreciated.

  As far as I see your description, it seems like you have a self-hosted site with WordPress.org software. Actually, there are two types of WordPress: WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Here is the support forum of WordPress.com. Therefore, you are questioning in the wrong forum.
