Broken sitemap.xml generation in WordPress/Yoast SEO/XML sitemap generator for G
-
Hi, after couple of hours trying to pinpoint the reason I gave up – no matter which plugin to generate sitemaps I use (or just use WordPress functionality), they are always created in following format:
- Thousands of links – way more than pages, custom post types and media files altogether
- All of them in the same format (for example https://prom.cardinator.uk/?p=517422183) and all or most of them are linking to non-existent pages (I get 404 error when I try to open links)
- None of my actually existing pages can be found in the sitemap.xml file
Any ideas why sitemap is generated that way instead of pointing to actual existing addresses?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform – https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/http://prom.cardinator.uk
You must take a look in the documentation at wordpress.org to solve this problem yourself.
