Broken sitemap.xml generation in WordPress/Yoast SEO/XML sitemap generator for G

  Hi, after couple of hours trying to pinpoint the reason I gave up – no matter which plugin to generate sitemaps I use (or just use WordPress functionality), they are always created in following format:

  1. Thousands of links – way more than pages, custom post types and media files altogether
  2. All of them in the same format (for example https://prom.cardinator.uk/?p=517422183) and all or most of them are linking to non-existent pages (I get 404 error when I try to open links)
  3. None of my actually existing pages can be found in the sitemap.xml file
     

  Any ideas why sitemap is generated that way instead of pointing to actual existing addresses?
