Broken Template?
-
I can’t change the template on one of the blogs. the other two come up, whenever I go to the “choose new template” area, but the one I actually want to change doesn’t. also, it says Page Not Found when I try to manage the template, and an error page saying “cheatin’ eh?” comes up when I click ‘modify’.. but again, only on this one, the other two allow the process. what’s up?? The theme is “twenty twelve”..
thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

the ‘customize’ link goes to a page that simply says
Cheatin’ uh?
the Change Template page goes to an oops it doesn’t exist page.
not the case with the same links for the other two blogs in the list

There are multiple errors on that site; it looks like there was an import that failed to bring over the actual images in the site. Can you create a new export file and try re-importing it?
As for the other issue, the original issue, I think this is going to require staff intervention. Let me flag this for them. Then subscribe to the thread via email (tickbox under the Write Post box here) and wait for them to get back to you. It could take a day or so.

Thank you for your help
and hold the train
there are two email addresses, so though I’ve set them up it’s not configured to the same address – can I give admin rights to the other address? anyway, the problem is me figuring out how I’ve set this up, not the actual setup.
logging in with the other email address gives me full admin. sorry..
however, allowing either address to have the ability to admin wouldn’t be unwelcome. in any case, it’s unraveling and being figured out.
thanks for your help!

Oh, so that was the problem? Yes, just invite the other user account to be Admin of the blog.
-
well, actually you can’t re-invite someone who’s already listed on the blog, it’s necessary to go to the other side of the screen, while logged in to the admin account, and in the particular blog dashboard, and choose “Users” and make the adjustment from there..
It would’ve been helpful, perhaps, to have had an indication up front – (on the main page of the dashboard??) – that this account isn’t the owner, and further that the access level was set to (x). Also, had the template simply said “you can’t do that (change the theme) because you’re not admin” instead of “page not found”, it would also have been more helpful.
but I won’t rant any further. Thanks for your help in determining that it was admin privileges that was the issue here.
