broken website, error 500, no access possible

My conference is usually available under the mentioned website:
    Blockchain@HTW Conference – HTW Berlinhttps://blockchain.htw-berlin.de › wordpress › 6-blockc…
On 9. September 2022 the sixth conference „Blockchain@HTW“ will take place …

if you now go on this website you will see that there comes the error 500.
My student had crashed last Friday my conference website.
As I refer this task of maintaining the website to students the my new student tried to launched the website without copying any meta data like e.g. FTP account. My former student who was in charge for all this passed away and I have no access to the data he store for me.

Therefore, can you please (!!!!) help us to create an access to ‘my’ conference website? It is so important because the next will take place in 10 weeks and we have to publish the speaker and the programme.

    Y
    Thank you.

  • Hey there,

This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I’m unfortunately unable to check why that 500 error has occurred, as it isn’t connected to our system here on WordPress.com.

A 500 error code is a loading issue with the site as a whole – something causing a delay.

If you would want us to have access to site, to provide daily backups, and our 24/7 support service (among other things), you could of course migrate over from your current host and use our Business plan. We have information about all that it offers here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/business-plan/

Of course, if you’d prefer not to migrate, our ‘sibling’ plugin Jetpack provides downtime monitoring for free, and you can also purchase the Jetpack backup services too as part of the Jetpack Security package:
    https://jetpack.com/features/security/

    I hope this helps.
