Brompton Theme does not display header seen in demo
-
I started with the Maywood theme, but decided that I’d try Brompton. After switching the theme, the header is a plain white box with the site title centered; it looks nothing like the header shown on the Brompton demo page, with the site title centered in a circle, menu on the left and social icons on the right.
Please advise: How do I fix this?
Thanks…

Hi @route50master, right now the theme is still Maywood. I don’t see any recent switches on the site you listed. Could you send a link to the site you’re having trouble with?

I have checked, and under Document on the right side of the block editor, the layout is definitely listed as Brompton.
As noted in my original message, the site is
http://route50link.wordpress.com
However, I have not yet launched the site. Would that affect how you see the applied theme?
Thanks…

https://route50link.wordpress.com/ is using the Maywood theme, not Brompton.
The “Brompton” card you see in the editor sidebar is the layout template applied to your front page. It’s not the theme that’s active on the site – the editor never displays any information regarding the theme you’re on.
To see what theme is currently active on your site, go to My Site ->Design ->Theme. That is also the only place from where you can switch your site to a different theme.
