Non-WordPress.com Nameservers
Although nadiavanderhall.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.
We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMYour name servers are as follows:
NS03.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS04.DOMAINCONTROL.COMIf you have access to change the nameservers for this domain, please remove all nameservers not on the required list above.
To learn about how to correctly map an existing domain, please see our documentation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain If you’re not sure whether you own this domain or not, the WHOIS database record may help you out. http://www.whois.net/whois/nadiavanderhall.com

Thanks for the response! I did that but my old blog posts haven’t carried over over 50+ posts – yikes! Any help with that? Thanks!

it looks like you are using some sort of domain forwarding.
The domain forwarding needs to be turned off and the name servers changed per the link for mapping your existing domain name
I will flag this for the staff in case you need more help

Hi Nadia!
Go ahead and login to your GoDaddy.com account, and navigate to your domain management page.
You’ll want to turn off Domain Forwarding, and also change your nameservers to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Here is an image that shows what the screen you’re looking for should look like: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7wsbMlxgK8nSEVBbkw5d1N0RWc
Also, there are a couple steps you’ll need to take inside your WordPress.com account. The ability to use a custom domain you already own (which is what you’re trying to do) costs $13/year.
If you haven’t already, navigate to your Domains Page and select the Map It button. Here’s an image of what that page looks like:

Hi @nadiacvanderhall, the advice you’ve been given is great. Right now the forwarder is causing trouble, so I’ve adjusted your primary domain so you can access your site and your posts.
Now you will need to remove the forwarder and point the domain here, using the instructions James and the others gave you.
After that’s done and you’ve given it a few hours to take effect, you can go ahead and make nadiavanderhall.com the primary domain again here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/I’ll remove the modlook tag for now, but if you need more help, feel free to add it again.
And thanks for all your help with this, @timethief, @auxclass, and @jameswelbes . Nice work. :)
