Browsers report that they can not find the server and display our site
-
Just as the topic title states, something is wrong with my site. I can see it find when I’m logged in as an administrator. When I’m not, the url is rejected.
The site is http://www.lesterdandcharlie.com
Please help. It have been doing this for about 24 hours, now.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It doesn’t seem to be a billing problem, either. We won’t owe WordPress for hosting until March, and the URL is paid for through May. So it has to be a technical issue.

I have no idea. I’d be happy to do whatever it takes to get it up and running again, but I can’t find a single thing that I should be doing in the support forums or account settings.

I can get on the dashboard and edit anything I write; I just can’t get on the blog to see how the finished postings look.

lesterdandcharlie.com – is not registered and has no domain mapping
lesterandcharlie.com – is registered and seems to have domain mapping, but the Name servers do not seem to be pointing to WordPress.COM – the name servers do not seem to be set at all – you might need to contact your registrar
Review the section on setting the name servers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
-
http://mawrgorshin.com/ – loads fine to a WordPress.COM for me – has green monster theme etc.
The base blog is mawrgorshin.wordpress.com
Check your internet / ISP connection.
Where are you located and who is your ISP?
-
I’m in Taiwan; I don’t know who my ISP is–how do I find out? (I’m a bit of a computer dummy.)
-
Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is who ever provides the internet signal to your computer.
What happens if you click on my name above? Does the site load – I have a custom domain name mapped to a WordPress.COM site like you do.
Sometimes an ISP will block some web sites, either by accident or because of some Govt. policy. that is why I ask about where you are located.
Since I can see your site the odds are that your site is fine but that there is a problem with how the data gets from WordPress.COM to your computer.
You can file a support ticket here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ – but the support forum tends to be quicker, also if the volunteers (other unpaid folks like myself) in the forum can’t help we can flag a thread for the staff to help, the staff also watch the support forums for issues

I just checked the registrar settings and the Settings are okay — just the way you want them and they have been for a couple years.
Next suggestion?
-
https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/lesterandcharlie.com and
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/
Both show no valid name server settings for lesterandcharlie.com , outside of asking your Registrar to check the name servers settings I can’t think of other options, you might also make sure there is not any domain forwarding happening at your Registrar

Can you guess what could possibly be wrong with the connection between WordPress.com and my computer? Any ideas? I use an Apple, and to my knowledge, there are no viruses causing problems, for everything else works fine on it.
