Buddypress and BBpress plugins question

    I created a website using wordpress and each time I add a Buddypress or BBpress my dashboard goes blank…why is that? I click on links on the left side menu and nothing happens. This only happens when I activate those two plugins and I need them because I’m trying to build a forum type website. Can I get some help here because I’m tired of tearing down my site and rebuilding it again only to be stuck at the point of my process (after activate those plugins). Please HELP ME!!!
