The choices we make for backgrounds override what the theme provides so when we find it doesn’t revert to “normal” for the theme all we need to do is remove whatever we uploaded into the theme and it will revert. :) -

That’s correct. That option does not exist on the Bueno theme as the Blog Title and the Tagline are displayed in the title field above the image header. -

The featured posts are working I use the widget, don’t check the media tag option, and check excerpt without needing to place an excerpt in the excerpt box, at least so far…but I came over from Inuit Types…so I don’t know if that would make a difference. I will have to try it out with a new post later today. It shows the last 5 posts. It also will work if I check for the full post. And it will include an image if I use the featured image option too. But I don’t like the way the text doesn’t wrap around the image, and I also don’t want to be stuck with all these featured images if I move to another theme.
The featured posts don’t see to work at all if I use any of the categories under ‘media tag’. And I really don’t get why they chose ‘tag’ instead of ‘category’ for this list since tags tend to be more specific and categories more general. I guess you could just make featured post a tag once this option works.
The other small glitch I noticed in the Top Post widgets is that when the titles goes to two lines the bullet point displays between the two lines instead of at the beginning of the first line. I will try to report these two llater today, but need to go to an appointment right now.

The Bueno Featured Posts widget shows your five most recent posts in the tag of your choice. Are the posts you want to feature “taggged”?
The Bueno Featured Posts widget shows “excerpts” if that’s the option you choose. Did you edit the five posts you want featured and place excerpts into the excerpt box below the post editor and save the changes?

i stupidly tried to change the background color and now can’t undo it. even if i change themes and then go back to bueno, i can’t get the original dotted background back. please help!

When I preview Bueno in my existing ChaoticSoul theme, something goes awry with my Pages. They do show up properly toward the bottom of the right-hand sidebar (where I want them), but the titles (all 26 of ’em!) also appear in the chunky font directly under the header text. The type is a tad smaller than the main title head, but even so, it takes 15 lines to present them — and that’s an awful lot of unnecessary chunk. In Preview mode, I get to the right Page whether I click on the sidebar list or on the chunky header Pages. Any ideas what’s up and how I can fix it?

I had the same problem. Scroll back up to Page 1, where timethief answered my very similar question.

I also noticed another little strange thing – when I tried a header and then said to restore original header, it also restored the theme dots. So careful when you restore a header, it seems it might effect more.

Is anyone else still having problems with the featured posts not showing up in the sidebar? This featured post deal is driving me nuts. It will work with some Tag categories but not others. The ones it DOES work with do NOT have excerpts in the excerpt box. I totally do not get it, but there must be something obvious that I’m doing wrong or maybe it’s something that came over from Inuit Types. Guess, I will go back and try to put excerpts in the excerpt box for posts in a category that’s not working.
The other strange thing is that the featured image shows up on the front page of the blog but not on the post page. That can’t be right.
I’m totally not loving this pastel box around the photos. Any way to get rid of that?

• I’m not getting any problem with the featured posts widget.
• If you wish to display a featured image on main page as wellas on single post, just click both “Use as featured image” and “Insert into Post”.
• To get rid of the border around an image: in the visual editor, click image, click mountain icon, click Advanced Settings, type 0 in Border box, click Update, click Update Post; in the html editor, add this to the image code:

I am clearly doing something wrong with the Featured Posts Widget, but I cannot figure out what it is. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can see what I might be doing wrong.
First, a question. Must a post have a Featured Image to be a Featured Post? [I don’t think so, since the last 5 posts will appear when a tag is not checked regardless of whether or not they have a Featured Image, but just checking to be sure.]
This is what I’m doing:
1) Moved the Featured Posts widget to the sidebar.
2) I created a Post Tag called Featured Posts to play with. I added that Post Tag to five posts and saved changes.
2) I added an excerpt in the excerpt box for these 5 posts tagged Featured Post and saved changes.
3) Added a featured image, just in case.
4) I use the drop down menu in the Featured Posts widget to select the tag Featured Posts.
5 )Save changes.
Go to main page and there’s the title Featured Posts with no posts.The Featured Post option will work for 2 previous tags which have 5 or more posts, but it won’t work for this new tag and doesn’t work for any tags that have less than 5 posts. So I know it can work, but I don’t see what I’m doing wrong.

Panos, thanks for letting me know how to remove the pastel frames. I’ve been able to do it so far on photos using the media box as long as they are not a featured post. Still have to play around to see how to do it with the featured post, maybe need to use the html code. Thanks again.
BTW, do you know the size of the Featured Post Image in this theme?
