Bug about word count

  Hi,

  My blog is written in Chinese and the word count doesn’t support it. While I have an article of 1100 words, it just counts as 11 words. This bug also happens on my other articles.

  Whatever I set in the reading option, the whole passage will be posted instead of its summary. This nearly abandon the function of statistic, as people read all my articles without the need of clicking into the topic; thus I don’t know what people are interested in my blog.

  Would you please kindly suggest a way to solve this problem?

  Thanks for reporting this! Would you be able to link me to a sample post where you’re coming across this problem and include what the word count should be?

  Regarding adding a summary to your front page, the summary setting in your Settings -> Reading page is for your RSS feed and only works with certain themes. Instead, you’ll want to use the “More tag” button:

  Hi,

  Here is the link of one of the passages. In fact, all of my articles meet this problem of word count. By the way, the total words included in the linked passages is 1081.
