bug concerning “link image to” resize
-
When inserting a picture from an extern link, I often have to resize the image (which is a great feature!), but when I use the link image to function and also resize the picture the link is just added to my wordpress link ( like http://schattengefunkel.wordpress.com/www.micmojo.com ), which of course does not work out.
I don’t know where my link does come from, when I try editing the picture respectively the link only the correct link is shown..
I’d be glad if someone could explain this to me, or just fix the problem! thank you(why do I have to use “this topic is not a support question”, when posting into a support forum?)

I don’t understand your question. I just inserted and resized an image from your latest post, with its original URL from Altphotos – no such symptom. Where exactly does this double link show up? What are the exact steps you took?

I’ve seen this from time to time, but have no idea what causes it. A URL is added to the end of another URL such as in his example. When it has happened to me, I’ve just fixed it and moved on and it has never seemed to be something that happens consistently, at least for me it hasn’t. My only guess would be that somehow a previous link does not get cleared from the field by the system from time to time.

panaghiotisadam – This double link shows up in my latest post (not the sticky one) when you move over the picture you can already see it.. just click on it and you will see what I mean.
I just took the normal steps – inserted the picture from the alt link, described the pic, put in the “link image to” link, posted it and then resized it.. after that stept the double link was shown…
( my english is crap, sorry )I tried to fix it, thesacredpath, I removed the image, and did everything again, but with the same results.. the second picutre did need no resize – so the link is correct. the third picture again needed to be resized and the link was added again…

What you can do is open the post for edit switch to the HTML tab in the editor, and then fix the link manually.
