BUG: Got no notifications when a comment approved

When you click ‘Approve’ for a comment you receive notification email of comment approval if you are the author of that post.
I did the following:
There was a comment waiting in the moderation queue, I clicked Edit and changed its status from Pending to Approved. I should get notification because I’m the author of that post and this comment just was pushed into the moderation queue by a user commented on a post, but that didn’t happen.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t know what you are expressing and I don’t understand why you edited the comment status when all you had to do was click “Approved”. Over 90% of the time that members say emails have not been received they are found in the spam filter. Did you check there?

When we set up comment moderation notifications by email here > Settings > Discussion we receive email notifications of each commented submitted when there are comments in the moderation queue waiting for us to approve them.
We do not receive emails to notify us that we have approved comments after we have approved them as that would serve no useful purpose.

Simply, I have received a comment that contain plain code that isn’t formatted, it was waiting in the moderation queue.
Therefore, I just clicked at the ‘Edit’ link and edited code formatting and changed the status of that comment from Pending to Approved, and I expected to receive a notification mail because of that.
Normally, I receive two notification messages, one when a new comment is waiting, and one when that comment is approved.
In the case above, I received the first notification message only.
Does that make sense?
