Bug in "Independent Publisher" theme

There seems to be a bug in the “Independent Publisher” theme. If you do not choose a header image and zoom out a blog in your webbrowser then at some point the blog title will move from the top position to the left position. The same happens even without zooming out, provided that your screen is wide enough.

I think this is undesirable – the blog title should always stay on the top. Is there anything I can do to keep it on top at all times?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

This isn’t a bug but is how the theme is designed to display the site title on larger screens.

You can force the site title to always stay centered at the top by adding custom CSS to your site, but you will need the Premium or Business plan to do so.

I see, the old “it’s a feature” explanation :-) I think it’s a bug because this does not happen if the header image is chosen, no matter how much you zoom out. At best this “feature” is “inconsistent”.

But anyway – do you know perhaps if there is a theme available, which can be made to look similar to what I currently have, but without the feature that the blog title is on the side when zoomed out?

  • Ecto is very similar in appearance:
