Bug in LaTeX formatting destroying an entire post.
-
I found a bug in the LaTeX formatting. Say I have a latex block which erroneously has a backslash at the end (i.e. $latex $) Then the entire post will not render (instead of the post having good content up until the error, and then displaying the yellow box).
The reason I think this is a bug is because if the trailing dollar sign is completely omitted ($ is valid LaTeX, iirc, so it should fall into this case) then the post renders correctly.

I’ve fixed the problem in my own posts (by removing the erroneous backslash), but I am able to reproduce the bug. Here were my steps:
1. Set up a blog with the twenty eleven theme.
2. Write a post, and somewhere in the post type $latex x $
3. Hit preview.Expected result: The majority of the post content is still displayed, perhaps with the content after the latex snippet being replaced by a yellow error box, as per usual.
Observed result: The post title is displayed and no content is displayed. -
