Bug in "Stay theme" (just in french version ?)
-
There is 2 menu locations, but with the same name “Menu principal”
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s8/sh/367ef050-9cff-4973-a1e9-473261b2f487/abbbd7bc4a7f35509c0f6887606e21daThe main problem is that the top menu appears twice…
-
Thanks very much for the screenshot – I’ll report the wording issue to our developers. It does appear to be an issue only in French.
As for the “top” menu appearing twice, I just tested this and am not able to reproduce the issue. I created two separate menus, assigned one to “primary” and one to “top” – and each one shows only once, in the expected spot. Do you have a site still running Stay where I can see this in action? Thanks for your help.

Hello kathrynwp,
You did resolve the problem, it works now! Great!
Sorry, I forgot the link, you can see it running there:

Actually, It’s a test website…There is another problem (again only in French, I am going to be upset ;-)
Look at the main menu in narrow configuration. There is no white background, so it makes it unreadable… (except the last line..) -

Excellent, glad to hear that issue is fixed.

I see what you mean. Thanks very much for this report – I’ll bring it to our theme developers’ attention so they can fix it.
I appreciate your reports – merci beaucoup, Olivier!

Also, it would be great to translate the reservation form
Name = Nom
Email(obligatoire) = Email (obligatoire)
Phone = Téléphone
# Adults = # Adultes
# Children = # Enfants
Arrival = Arrivée
Departure = Départ -
Avec plaisir ;-)
Menu works, but there is still twice the same name “Menu principal” for the 2 locations

Right, I’ve reported that glitch to the translation team and hopefully one of the French translators/validators will be able to get that fixed soon.
If you’re interested in helping contribute to translations on WordPress.com, you can learn more here:

It looks like those terms have actually been translated, but are not yet live. I’ll investigate.

The issue with the menu at narrow widths should now be fixed.
I’ll keep you posted on the translation issues.

The reservation form should now be displaying the proper French translations.
If you decide to make this website live, do let me know as our theme team would like to feature it on WordPress.com. Thanks!
-
Yes, it’s now completely translated in french, merci beaucoup!
It would be a pleasure to be featured, but this is just for a demo purpose. It will stay so. (I will try to duplicate it for clients…).
I will write an article on that great theme on my blog.I have another website on wordpress.com, this time a real one ;-)

Great!
If you do create a hotel site with Stay for a client, feel free to let me know as we’re looking for non-demo sites to feature for that theme. :-)

Hello. I’ve used the new visibility function within the widgets. It’s really a great new feature. Congrat the developpers… especially for the stay theme in order to insert the reservation form in specific pages. Unfortunately it is not possible to select the rooms, as it’s a custom post type… or did I miss something?
-
Hi Olivier – indeed, since rooms are a custom post type, they aren’t linked to the widgets visibility option. I will bring this to our developers as a suggested enhancement in a future release – thanks for the suggestion!
-
Our developers have added custom post types as selectable options in the widget visibility tool. You can now select Room or Testimonial in the Page drop-down submenu, as you can see here:
