Bug Report: Ascetica does not display the Image Carousel

Even though the Image Carousel is checked in my Media Settings, the Image Carousel does not display when clicking on any Gallery image. In this theme, all Gallery images open in their respective Attachment page instead.
My Gallery demo site is currently using Ascetica, but may change at any time.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are a lot of reports about gallery and carousel issues. I think staff are working or changing something in the gallery feature. -

Is there a specific gallery where the Carousel isn’t working for you?
I was able to get it on this post:

Oddly enough, that was the post I checked first since it is the simplest rendering of the Gallery. At home on Win7/Chrome 22, clicking on any Gallery image ignored the Image Carousel and opened the Attachment page.
At work, using WinXP and Chrome20 (updating now), the Image Carousel opens when clicking on any thumbnail. Will report back after the update.
(I think so, too. :) )

Chrome 21.0.1180.89 m on WinXPPro SP3 checks out OK as well. Will try again in about an hour from my home computer (bigger, faster, stronger).

Even though I misreported Chrome22 before, the home computer is Win7Pro/Chrome 21.0.1180.89 m. The Image Carousel now appears as advertised. Thanks!

Hello,
I’ve got the same problem. I see the slide shape with the title of my article, but not my picture. Specs of my image : 660x330px. I tried with IE and Firefox.
I don’t speak english very well so I linked a picture to show you the bug.

hello all,
you all seem to be very good at figuring out problems like this.
however, not all of us are blessed that way.
I chose the ascetica theme because of the slider,
but do not seem to manage at all –
partly do to terminology, I think.
I added images to a post, checked featured image or sticky, both wrong
I added 2 posts with one image each, tried to set ‘featured image’ for both, wrong, too
WP.org states, in quick-edit-mode under the status post there was a checkbox ‘featured post’ but there isn’t
I am at a loss
