    Hello,

I contact you about a fact that is similar to a bug after a refund of my premium plan.

20 Septembre 2021, I purchase a premium plan, with creation of a domain : “ariesecoaching.fr”. A wordpress site is create “ariesecoachingdotfr.wordpress.com” and he’s link with “ariesecoaching.fr” but my pre-order was a mistake. My developer purpose me to be refund because my website project is still on conception. I make this demand and i’ve been refund.
Today, my website is ready to enter on development, and my developper purpose me to host my domain “ariesecoaching.fr” at o2Switch. But the domain is host at WordPress. So i begin to make a transfer porcedure but my domain is nowhere to be found on my WordPress dashboard. When a attempt to link my “ariesecoachingdotfr.wordpress.com” at “ariesecoaching.fr”, it’s indicate that the domain is active and unavailable for transfer. When I analyze the owner of the domain, it return my address. When i going to the URL “ariesecoaching.fr”, a website appear with a frame which indicate the domain hasn’t a active domain connection.

It’s possible to clear this situation for a transfer to another host ?

I clarify that i don’t make a mistake about a possibly other account, because my purchase history is available on my dashboard with the 20 september’s purchase

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

ariesecoaching.fr is not listed in your WordPress.com account, because you cancelled that domain, along with your Premium Plan, for a full refund on 20 September. You can see the receipt for that refund on your billing history page at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing, and we also sent you a confirmation email on the same day regarding the domain’s cancellation.

So you no longer own that domain. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all.

In this case we can still restore the domain to your account, after which you can transfer or point it to another hosting provider. As you were refunded for the domain when you cancelled it, you will need to pay for the domain again. I’m sending you a link via email that you can use to do this.

Let us know here once you’ve paid, and we can restore the domain to your account.
