Buggy Contact Form Builder?

  • Unknown's avatar

Form builder seems a bit buggy to me. Quite frequently, a field that I had placed in form builder just dissapeared from the form builder page, while remaining perfectly visible on the resulting form itself. It also tends to often “forget” my “required”-settings, so that I have to manually add them into the short code in visual editor to make them work. (Using Safari 5+6 and Firefox 14 on a Mac running OS X 10.7.4). Do you how to amend these issues? Or am I missing something here?

    Hey there,

I’ve just had a play with the form builder and can’t reproduce any of the issues you’ve described.

To rule out your browser as a cause, can you please clear your cache and cookies and then give it a try again to see if the problem persists?

    Best,
    P.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. I just set up a new iMac and did a clean install of OS X Mountain Lion and of every single app on this iMac. The problem still persists.

More so, I just found out that after sending the form the fields get in total disorder on the resulting e-mail as well as on the “sent/confirm” screen. That is, the fields in it’s original form are like: first name, family name, street, zip, city, phone, mobile, e-mail, remarks” and so on. But in the e-mail I receive the fields are like “first name, remarks, e-mail, street, zip, family name, city” or the like. Totally disordered.

    Very strange, isn’t it?

This is the problematic contact form:
