Bugs related issue on the server

HI, if I have bugs related issues on my server, how long will that take you to fix it average time frame? Do they work on the weekend?

Is there group chat plugin or widget that I can add in my site for a business plan?

Is there a page where I can add in my disclaimer forms or is that built in?

For your business is there a built in blog page or forum page where you can post blogs or post in forum and where members can post a blog or forum? or would this be added in a theme.

If I purchased a theme from Envato, would that be hard to add in to my website?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

HI, if I have bugs related issues on my server, how long will that take you to fix it average time frame? Do they work on the weekend?

If you have a site hosted with us on WordPress.com, it is hosted on our servers, and your site is neither assigned its own server, nor do you have any access to the server your site runs on, so there’s no way you would know if there was an error on the server.

If you’re asking about bugs in general on WordPress.com, if you report a bug to us and we’re able to replicate it, we report it to our developers. But how long it takes them to fix the bug would depend on the complexity of the bug, how many people it impacts, and the overall priorities of our developers at that time. So there’s no average time for bug fixes.

Is there group chat plugin or widget that I can add in my site for a business plan?

I’m sure there are plugins that add that functionality, but none that are made by us. The best place to look for plugins is the official WordPress plugin directory at https://wordpress.org/plugins/, though there are also many plugins online that have not been submitted to the official directory by their creators, so also just try searching Google or another search engine for the type of plugins you need.

Is there a page where I can add in my disclaimer forms or is that built in?

A site doesn’t come with pre-created privacy policy or disclaimer pages, no. But you can add as many pages as you want to your site, add whatever content you want to them, and link to them from any menu and widget areas supported by your theme. Some themes even come with an option to specify a page as a privacy policy, and there might also be plugins that can add special policy page links if your theme doesn’t have a suitable place for you to link those.

For your business is there a built in blog page or forum page where you can post blogs or post in forum and where members can post a blog or forum? or would this be added in a theme.

You would add this using a forums plugin, like bbPress.

If I purchased a theme from Envato, would that be hard to add in to my website?

Adding a third party theme on the Business Plan is as simple as going to My Site ->Design ->Themes and clicking on Upload themes. However, we cannot guarantee that all themes will work on WordPress.com. Most should work, but if a theme has a known conflict with the Jetpack plugin, or otherwise contain features that are in conflict with our hosting setup on WordPress.com, they won’t.

That type of conflict is much more likely with plugins than with themes, though, and any theme created following common WordPress coding best practices should work here.
