Build a map using google maps online content (instead of markers)

    Hi, I am trying to build a map of an area of London for my local action group. I know it sounds easy! wait.. I would like visitors to be able to search for local business activities (shops, restaurants, services etc) directly using the google maps search instead of adding markers on the map (so I do not need to update them anytime). I would also like to categorize and filter activities (e.g. show only schools). Is it possible?? What is the easiest way of doing it in your opinion? thanks!

    You’ll want to create a custom map in Google Maps – Google has a support forum here with an entire section on customizing Maps that can hopefully help with the best way to set up a map that matches what you’re describing: https://support.google.com/maps/?hl=en#topic=3093585

    Once you’ve created your custom Map, you can then insert it into your WordPress.com site by following the instructions on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/
