build a new site off line

    Hi
    My WP web site live and is currently hosted by go daddy but is running on outdated php.
    How can I rebuild my website OFF LINE with updated WP and php settings? I want to build the new site and have it ready to replace the old site instantaneously.
    The domain name is obviously being used already so how do I get around this?

    If you’ll be hosting the site here on our servers, just pick a free domain in signup. You’ll be able to add a custom domain when you’re ready.

    If you intend to keep hosting through GoDaddy, there are a few different ways to go about setting up staging. I’d recommend looking for tips at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ , the forums and support pages for self-managed WordPress installations.
