Build a website

Hello, I want to build a food blog style website where I post recipes with lots of pics. I have a youtube channel and I want a website that accompanies the channel. The videos only show the process of the recipes so I want my site to be pictures and word heavy. I have an idea of what I want my site to look like but I’m not quite tech savvy and have no idea how to make the site look like what I have in mind. I made a sketch on paint which may help, but still, I don’t know how to get about doing it. Help!

The best option for making your site look professional is to use a pre-built theme. There are a lot of WordPress themes out there, and many specifically devoted to food blogs. You may be able to find one which comes close to matching your vision.

thanks for replying! I’ve been playing around with making a website but most of it is going over my head and it’s becoming overwhelming. The page looks nothing like how I envision it to be and I’m getting a bit frustrated. Is there anywhere I can turn to for technical assistance?

The best advice I can give regarding that is to keep learning and keep trying new things. We’re definitely here to help you along the way.
However, if you need a custom template designed to match your vision, that would be out of our scope. In that scenario, you’d want to contract with a theme designer and share your designs with them so that they can provide you a quote and custom-build the theme from scratch.
