Build members-only content
-
I would like to have some pages on my website that are only accessed by members who have paid for membership – is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could set those pages as password protected using post visibility:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/Is that sufficient for what you are trying to do?

You can password protect individual pages and posts but you would be setting one global password for that specific section. You could easily use the same password for every section but it would also mean each member would be using the same password. This might be all you need but be aware that if one person shares the password any one could then access the protected areas.
A more secure alternative is to set up a separate site to act as the members’ area. You can pick the same theme and set up the site in exactly the same way but set it to private and then just invite your members so they can sign in with their own username and password. You can even create a link to it with a custom menu.
The downside of this method is that if you want to use any premium features on both sites you have to pay for two plans, one for each. You also have to maintain the two sites separately.
There’s no way of taking payment directly via WordPress.com but you could set up a PayPal button and use that to process the payment. You’d then need to manually invite the new member to become a viewer of your private site.
