build site and transfer after 60 days

  I purchased a domain on Godaddy, not realizing I could do that on WordPress. Can I build my site without mapping, since I can’t transfer for 60 days

  Hi amandagabers4713,

  you can build your site with another domain of your choice (free or paid plan):
  https://wordpress.com/start

  Then you can change it in Domains in the menu, mapping anytime, transfer after first 60 days. Follow the instructions here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Hi there,

  The 60-day limitation is only for domain transfers, i.e. to move the entire domain registration from GoDaddy to us.

  You can immediately connect the domain here using our domain mapping upgrade, as that only involves pointing the domain from GoDaddy to us while the registration itself remains with them.
