  Hello,

  I’m looking to build my own site and transfer my current domain to the one I want to build on WordPress. I’d like to build it before transferring it. How should I go about this?

  You can build the site here at WordPress.com under a temporary or default domain, such as businessladyanthem.wordpress.com.

  When ready, the domain can be connected as per these instructions from the domain registrar: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/ or it can be transferred as per these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
