building a new site in wordpress that needs to eventually be put on existing live URL

  I’m a beginner on wordpress and am looking to build a site that is currently built on wix. Once I’m finished building on wordpress the site needs to work on the existing URL. Can someone advise on best steps for getting starting and then how I’d go about switching the URL so what it is now?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When you have finished building on WordPress, map your domain to WordPress.

  With WordPress.com you need an Upgraded plan in order to use a custom domain with your site (for more info about every single plan you can have a look at https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/).

  To use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you will need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them to WordPress.com nameservers.
  Our nameservers are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  You will also need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade via one of our paid plans so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site.
  Do note that domain propagation can take up to 72 hours. If you continue to see your underlying wordpress.com URL after that time, try a hard refresh of your browser window and/or empty your browser cache and cookies.
