Building a services market place

    Hi there,
    I am not a developer/ designer and involved in a start-up looking to develop a services marketplace (e.g. personal training for workplaces gyms). I wanted to understand whether this would be possible to make with WordPress + plugins and was hoping you could answer a couple questions:
    1. Broadly, can something like this possible to be designed with only WP + plugin functions? (i.e. no programming)
    2. Is it possible to create trainer login portals where an approved trainer can update their availabilities for customers/ check schedule/ check gross income/ review feedback? If so, can you recommend approach/ plugin?

    Hi there,

    1. Yes, you can make this with WordPress and the right plugins. The best place to ask for advice on which plugins you’d need is the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, but essentially what you’d need is a vendor/marketplace plugin, a bookings plugin, and a payment gateway if you want to take payments directly on the site. You would, for example, be able to do this with WooCommerce and the vendors and bookings add-ons for that plugin.

    You can use all of those plugins on our Business Plan.

    2. This would likely depend on the vendors plugin you choose, so you can contact support for the specific plugins you’re considering directly to ask if they support that feature.
