building a webpage w WordPress

    I want to use WordPress to set up my web page. I already have a domain name & host. Can I use WordPress within it? How do I do that?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Many thanks for reaching out, and I’m sure we can definitely help with this.

    I already have a domain name & host. Can I use WordPress within it?

    The short answer is yes.

    There’s two type of WordPress, the first is WordPress.com, whereby we provide an optimised version of the software, we take care of the security and technical updates to the site – plus you have the benefit of 24/7 support.

    The second is self-hosted WordPress, where the free open source version of the software has to be installed onto the host. More of there differences can be seen here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    How do I do that?

    Can you tell me the URL of the site, and provide information regarding the current hosting of the website.

    We’ll do our best to put together a roadmap of how to use WordPress with the site.

    Also, are you able to tell me more about what you’re looking to achieve for the site, what functionality you require and what you’d like people to do when they visit the site – we can perhaps make some suggestions on how best to achieve your website goals.
