Building a website
-
Hello,
Sorry I haven’t been in contact with you. As I said in my original letter. I’m growing a company called Employucation which is a Employment, Education, Mentoring, Motivation and social media site.
I need aomething where companies and educational institutions can post jobs, where a person can apply to these jobs, also, where educational institutions can post information on University subjects, and where a student can apply for college.
Also, I plan on posting videos simular to YouTube. I also need something where people can communicate with other people (Social Media) almost like a facebook.
Can I get these services from WordPress?
Thank you,
Andre Williams

Hello,
There are various things a WordPress.com site can achieve. You can read about the full WordPress.com features here. https://en.wordpress.com/features/
Alternatively, for a robust social-network-like setup with WordPress, you might have to consider a self-hosted WordPress setup. You can configure it to your needs with various custom themes and plugins. You can read about the differences between a self-hosted WordPress and a WordPress.com site here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You should also note that WordPress.com can offer very powerful operations too with its Business plan. You can look at WordPress.com pricing page https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to see that Business plan allows custom themes and plugins.
I hope this helps. Feel free to get back if you have questions.

It is not possible to use WordPress.COM to set up a classifieds site or an employment listing site. For that you need to hire a web host and set up a wordpress.ORG software install. See: Moving to self hosted wordpress https://move.wordpress.com
I also tagged this thread in the sidebar for our Moderator to remove your personal info above so you do not get harassing calls.

Hi, the exception is if you have WordPress.com Business and add an appropriate plugin to that.
We’ll also remove your phone number.

@supernovia
Thanks for the follow-up here.Unless you have a wordpress.COM hosted site with a Business plan https://wordpress.com/pricing/ you cannot install any plugins in addition to those that are built in to all of our sites, and you cannot install third party or custom themes.
There is no FTP access to wordpress.COM hosted sites.
Please read:
FTP access http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
Blogger installed plugins http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
