Building a website with WordPress

    I have an existing site – built with Dreamweaver, hosted on lunar pages. I am updating to be phone friendly – and have been going this by hand.
    I have been told WordPress has many advantages, easy transition – as well there are many plugs ins for ecwid shopping carts available for WordPress sites.
    Before I start rebuilding I am asking for insights.
    Anyone who has had a good conversion experience – please share.
