building a WP site

  I have a domain name via Hover.com It already points to a different provider. I would like to try to build a trial site via WP but I don’t want to change the domain name pointer to the WP site until I have it at least as set up as my current one. Is it possible to change a domain name after the site is set up? or change the pointer after the site is set up? Thanks

  Absolutely, that’s one of the great things about WordPress.com. When you create a site here, you’ll get a free subdomain ending with .wordpress.com and you can keep using it as long as you need (you choose when to launch it, but even then, you can stick to the free address).
