Building my own website

  I currently have a website http://www.millcitysound.com that I had somebody put together for me years ago and would like to create my own site on WordPress and then move my current site over to it once it is completed. How do I do that ?

  Hi there,

  To create a new site on WordPress.com, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and just follow the steps. If you want to use that existing domain you’ll need a paid plan, but for now you can create the site with a free WordPress.com subdomain we provide, and leave moving the domain to us until you’re ready to take the existing site offline.

  I see http://www.millcitysound.com/ is built using the open source version of WordPress, so as long as you have admin access to the dashboard on that site, you can create an export file of your content at Tools ->Export. You can then import that file at My Site ->Tools ->Import here on WordPress.com:
