Building new site

  Hi,

  I’d like to build a wordpress site. We’re in the process of transferring away from Wix (domain is at GoDaddy). What’s the best way to build the site and then transfer the domain later?

  I’m not sure which option to select when I start to build my site:

  1 – transfer the domain to WordPress.com

  2 – map your domain without moving from your current registrar

  Because I just want to build the site, without changing the domain quite yet.

  A free site with a .blog or .wordpress.com subdomain will be fine until you’re ready to move your domain.
