Building new website in different space

    Hello, We currently have a site (www.darcyluoma.com) that is built on WordPress, and want to completely rebuild it using Divi in a new ‘space.’ What is the best way to set up this WordPress account to do that? We don’t want to transfer the domain away from the current registrar

    Hi there,

    To use the Divi plugin here on WordPress.com, you’ll need to be on our Business Plan.

    So first create a new WordPress.com site by going to https://wordpress.com/start/site/, and upgrade to the Business Plan. Then you can install Divi and set up your site.

    If you have existing content you want to move to the new site with us, export that from WP-Admin ->Tools ->Export on the existing site, and import at My Site ->Tools ->Import over here.

    Import a website

    Lastly, you can connect your domain here without transferring it from the current registrar using our domain mapping option instead:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    Leave the domain until last, though, as once you switch it your current site will go offline. You can work on your WordPress.com site at the free subdomain we give you until you’re ready to switch the domain to us.
