    I would like to know where I should begin to build a website that is hosted elsewhere. Our company’s current site needs to be redone and I have been tasked with the rebuild.
    further notes: This site cannot have any wordpress adds or branding.

    Hi there,

    If your site is hosted elsewhere, it means you are using the open source WordPress.org software, not WordPress.com, and we’re not able to help you in this forum.

    You can find the official documentation for that version of WordPress here:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/

    And you can find support for that software here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/

    There are also many excellent tutorials online that will help you get started working with that software, and there might be a local WordPress group in your area with people that will be happy to help you learn the ropes.
