building website w/o posting it to internet

    I have a website, that i built years ago w wordpress. It’s since been taken offline (no host), but i want to restart it. Is there anything available that will let me build the website, as if it was online, so i can view the finished results as if they were online, before i get another server and domain, so on and so forth.Basically, i want something that will let me edit a website (html, etc.) and view like it would appear online when i was done, only offline, and without having to pay a server. Any tips.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes you can – you can preview in any browser your html code.

    xampp will run on your desktop but you need to go over to WordPress.ORG for help – this forum is only for sites that are hosted on WordPress.COM

    If you are on Mac, you can use MAMP which is equivalent to the WAMP for Windows.
