Bulk actions – no check boxes appear?

    I am trying to add categories (I stupidly didnt do this before I started blogging). When I try and use the’bulk edit’ feature the check boxes dont appear?

    If I try and add individually then each time I have to re-add the category as there isnt a check box to select the ones I have added??
