Bulk Delete Tags

How do bulk delete tags? It seems I can only do it one at a time. Per your tutorial, there is a check box, but in reality, there is not…

The site I need help with is dailysuperman.wordpress.com.

I manually deleted all tags, categories, and posts. Will trash magically empty itself out eventually or do I have to manually delete posts in there, too? There’s no ’empty trash’ option?

By default, posts, pages or comments in the trash will be permanently deleted after 30 days.

  • Hi there,

To bulk-edit any kind of content, you need to first enable the WP-Admin interface. You’ll find the option to do that in account settings at https://wordpress.com/me/account

Deleting categories and tags are permanent – they don’t go into a Trash folder.

Deleted posts remain in Trash for 30 days, after which they’re permanently deleted. You can delete them from the Trash folder manually, but the Empty Trash option will also only be available if you enable the WP-Admin interface in account settings.

Man…I wish I had been patient and waiting for your amazing answer before individually deleting all posts/categories/tags yesterday. You solved my problem, though, thank you!
