bulk edit images – size- in dot com
-
Is there a way please, to bulk edit images for size in a .com account?
I have read a large number of posts, most use a plug in or suggest settings > images as WP auto sets 3 image sizes.I have reset the biggest size to 1250 by 700 something but this does not (seem) to work retrospectively.
I do know I can edit each image, in each post using Media Library, one by one, but that also means having to open a new post each time.
I have over 100, small by many stds, but too big for me as post load time can take up to 10 minutes sometimes.I have tried using Media Editor from settings ( I think) but that limits me to crop, rotate and something else. No size.
I think that covers everything, if not, please ask.
CheersThe site I need help with is aim2dchinabusinessnews.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
Thank you for writing to us with your question.
You do have the option to edit images without going into each post.
Click My Site > Media on the left.
Select the image you would like to resize. Edit Image. Change the image size in the upper right corner. Click Scale.

This way you don’t have to go into each post to edit the image dimensions. You still have to do every image individually though.
There are a few plugins that allow bulk image editing solutions, like Imsanity.

You will need to have Business or higher plan to be able to install plugins.I hope that helps!

Thank you.
FYIThere is NO sizing option available in this method in my situation.
The only options under EDIT are; ROTATE, CROP, FLIP.Pending further posts to the contrary I will assume the answer is no.

Thank you for your response.
Hm, would you mind taking a screenshot of what you see at this page? It is surprising if you don’t have the same settings as me.
You can easily take and upload screenshots with

Haha. Indeed it is.
This question helped me learn something new. Go to this settings (https://wordpress.com/me/account) and turn on Dashboard Appearance:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#dashboard-appearance
I think after that more settings will show up.
Let me know if that works for you!

I learn something new every day.
Life is a good teacher, if not a bit harsh sometimes.OK, back to reality.
Yep, I remember that setting.
I turned it of months back as it did something untoward in my site.
Forget what now, but once I turned it off, issue disappeared.Anyway, tried it as suggested, then; > media > select > edit.
Nope.
Still same old same old; crop, flip and what ever.Maybe the new setting needs time to adjust~+
This has low priority – not that I don’t appreciate your ideas- so I am going off line now so may not reply so quickly.Bic

Bingo!
Needed a little bit of time is seems.I note there is also a “bulk” option.
Have not tried it yet, just a courtesy note to say thanks.Once I have done it though I will turn that option off.
I found it over rides the simple post editing option which I prefer.
Again, thanks.

Alright! I am glad it worked for you at the end.
If you are seeing the ‘Bulk select’ button I think with that you can only bulk delete items. It would be great to have a bulk edit feature. I might create a feature request for that.
Let us know if there’s is anything else we can help with. We are happy to do so.
