Bulk Image Size Reduction
-
My site has started to open really slowly particularly on tablets 7 iPads i.e. over wifi connections.
I have started to systematically go through the ‘full size’ images in my posts and reduce them to ‘large’. However this is going to take forever.
Is there a way that I can select all images that are set to ‘full size’ and bulk change them to ‘large’? I couldn’t see this option in the media manager.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
That is an excellent idea — optimizing your images should help with load speed quite a bit. For the future, you may consider optimizing your image size before you even upload it.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to bulk edit the image sizes.
I highly suggest you adjust the amount of posts you display on the front page, as well. That appears to be slowing down the load time of your home page quite a bit.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Actually that is a good point about limiting the points on the front page as I have set the number of posts to just 5 many times before but it never works. Is this a know problem and/or is their a CSS fix – I don’t really want to change my theme – and if you could send me the CSS code. Thanks

Hi there!
The problem is that you’ve made all your posts sticky. This forces them to appear on the front page. If you “unstick” them, only the most recent 5 posts should display.
You can “unstick” your posts in the editor:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-postsSimply deselect the “Stick this post to the front page” option.
That should do the trick! Cheers!
