Bulk import from Myspace blog

    Folks…
    I’m interested in mirroring my MySpace blog in WordPress… and eventually moving completely to WP. Is there a good way to do a bulk import of my Myspace data into WP ? I’ve tried using the RSS feed from MySpace.. but it only goes back about 10 posts. I have more than 7 months of daily posts I’d like to move over.. Any thoughts on how to get them all ? ALternately.. I have an archive file with individual HTML’s for each of my posts on my computer.(thanks to http://www.spacewrapper.com) Is there a good way to import from those ?
    Assuming I can get these files into WP.. what’s the best way to grab all future posts to my Myspace blog ? I’ve used a few of the RSS plugins to include my last 10 MySpace posts on a page.. but they don’t copy the data.. I’d like some way of keeping a copy of my entire blog in WP.. It’s so much more flexible. secure and robust than MySpace.. Any help appreciated.

    First, you should know that it’s policy that if your WP.com blog is a mirror site, it should be set to Private; this is to prevent people from simply using the WP.com site for googlejuice.

    and also, MySpace may have an exporter, so check around on the admin side there and see.

    Thanks for the responses… Sorry if it seemed like a newbie question, but I did do a fair amount of research in these forums before posting. There is no mention of importing from MySpace that I could find. The issue with MySpace is that it’s really a closed system.. e.g. there’s no import or export function provided. I was able to find soem folkes (Spacewrapper.com) who’d created a slurper that grabbed the posts into an archive of HTML files… but I have not been able to figure out from any of the WP documentation or forums how to convert a bunch of local HTML files into dated posts.. hence my question here..
    Regarding mirroring my site here.. yes.. I will set it to private until I know it’s completely working.. then it will become the golden copy and I’ll abandon my MySpace blog.

    Regarding the RSS support from myspace.. it seems to only support your last 10 posts… and I have many hundered posts I’m trying to move over.. Too many at least to relish doing it by cut and paste.. Thanks

    Not that I know of, besides trying to import from an RSS feed. MySpace doesn’t seem to have an exporter, so there’s not much you can do without that, except to cut and paste your posts into your WordPress blog.

    These are the import options that exist right now; perhaps one of those hosts has a MySpace option, and then you could transfer from there over to WordPress.
